I installed the <a href="http://code.google.com/p/microblog-purple/" rel="nofollow">Microblog</a> protocol plugin and linked into my twitter accounts. Now, I just bring up an IM window in Pidgin, type the text, and send. The update gets sent to twitter and my Wordpress blog has an RSS widget (listed as "What I am Doing") on the side that pulls my twitter data down. This has actually increased my blog hits. I use Pidgin Instant Messenger for all of my IM communications and twitter. I installed the
